It will be our pleasure to welcome you to Rhodes!

Join us on this half-day private tour and visit the main highlights of Rhodes town and the beautiful white village of Lindos. Tour along Rhodes’ beautiful East coast and discover its rich history and beauty.

You will have the opportunity to visit the Mandraki harbor and the area where the Colossus of Rhodes once stood. Then you will walk through the ancient Acropolis of Rhodes. After that, we will continue on the East coast of the island and reach the traditional white village of Lindos, 50km away. You will have more than 1 hour stay to explore it and visit the beautiful Acropolis on the top, which is the second most popular Acropolis in Greece after the Parthenon in Athens. Then we will return back to our starting point.

What To Expect

Medieval City

We will start our tour with a drive around the walls of the Old Town of Rhodes - the biggest inhabited medieval town in Europe. It was built in 1300s from the knights of the order of St. John. The Medieval Town of Rhodes is inscribed in the World Heritage Sites List of UNESCO.
If you want we can extend the duration of the tour with 1 hour and you can have also some free time to go through the Old town and explore it on your own.

Mandraki Harbour

Mandraki port is situated in the new part of the town where you will see some very impressive monumental buildings built by the Italians. Here at the harbour entrance is believed that once stood the great statue of the Colossus of Rhodes - one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World.

The Church of the Annunciation

The Church of the Annunciation in Rhodes is the biggest Orthodox church in the town with very beautiful handmade paintings on the walls and spectacular chandeliers.

Once we reach Monthe Smith Hill you will enjoy exceptional panoramic views of the city and the seashore, and also visit the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, the impressive open-air ancient Stadium and the Amphitheatre.

Village of Lindos

Little before we reach the beautiful traditional village of Lindos your driver will stop you at a place for a fantastic panoramic view of the village together with its Acropolis on the top. After that, we will leave you at the main entrance of the village. You will have at least 1 and a half hours to explore it and of course, visit its famous Acropolis. The driver will wait for you at the exact place he left you.

Acropolis of Lindos

The Acropolis in Lindos is the second most popular Acropolis in Greece after the Parthenon in Athens. It was built on a steep rock 116 meters height overlooking the Blue Sea and the village of Lindos below. The Acropolis is dominated by the massive temple of Athena Lindia, dating from the 4th century and it attained its final form in around 300 BC.

Agios Pavlos Beach

A stop at the picturesque St. Paul's Bay is also included. It is claimed that St Paul landed here in the year 51 AD to preach Christianity to the Rhodians. There is a small church built there after his name. We will make a stop for pictures to capture this stunning view.

We loved our private tour with Aga! He was great. We really got to see so much of the island and the prettiest spots. It is a huge advantage to be in a private car, rather than a large tour bus. You can get places earlier, access roads that tour busses can’t, and be flexible with your itinerary with the things you are really interested in. Our favorite stop was St Paul’s Bay. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we felt very comfortable. My only complaint would be the car didn’t seem to have a working AC, but we were mostly comfortable with the windows down in the month of October.

George was a local man and he knew Rhodes and Lindos very well. He shared his knowledge and culture with us and was an excellent guide. There were only four of us in his very nice suv and he let us share with him what we would like to see and do. He gave us choices as well. When the tour was over my husband left his cell phone in George’s vehicle. We emailed the contact we had in our booking and we got an email back within 15 minutes that George found the phone. He went out of his way to return and drive to the cruise port to meet my husband to return his phone. George was an awesome guide and we had a fantastic tour. We felt safe, his car was clean and loved everything about this private tour. Worth every penny.

What a wonderful island. Our private tour with Nicholas was wonderful. We toured the town of Rhodes, then left the area and crossed the island to Lindos. We took in a nice small family run ceramic shop along the way. Lindos was very hectic and totally geared toward the tourist, but we did find a nice quiet rooftop taverna for lunch. Overall, a good visit.
