The Acropolis of Rhodes

The Acropolis of Rhodes which is on the Monte Smith Hill is only 3 km away from the center of modern city. Unlike most ancient acropolis this one was not fortified. The construction on the hill started in 3rd century BC. Back then there were impressive temples, sanctuaries, public buildings and underground cult places. Archaeological excavations revealed us some traces of the lost beauty and now we can dive into the fascinating past of Rhodes history.

Mandraki Harbour

Mandraki is one of the three harbours in Rhodes. It is famous, because it is believed that the great statue of Colossus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, once stood at the harbour entrance. Today the deer sculptures at the entrance, the St. Nicholas Fortress and a number of medieval windmills create a charming view of the harbour.

Acropolis of Lindos

Beautiful sceneries on the way will prepare you for meeting magnificent and in many ways unique – the ancient city of Lindos, really an ancient city, it has been inhabited for 5000 years. What a fantastic and enriching experience.

Amazing place with unique antique atmosphere

Everything about this tour went smoothly from start to finish. We loved Rhodes and Lindos but the highlight was Kamiros - amazing place with unique antique atmosphere. Our driver Giorgos spoke good English and was able to give us so much information about his island its history and culture. On our return to the ship we found that the trip organised by the cruise company hadn't covered anything except Lindos plus their group size was 5 times as large as ours. Thank you very much, we will definitely book with TeliaTour when come to Rhodes again. Next time we will come by air and stay for longer.
