Panormitis Monastery
The first stop is the little scenic bay, home to the Holy Monastery of Archangel Michael of PANORMITIS. As you approach the Monastery, you will hear Church bells ringing, warmly welcoming all the pilgrims, explorers, holidaymakers & curious travelers. The Holy Monastery is a treasury of the Greek-Orthodox culture. The contemporary church was built in 1783 and hosts the miraculous all silver-plated icon of Archangel Michael. The main architectural feature of the Monastery is it's impressive bell tower, a mixture of Baroque and Renaissance styles. The monastery also houses two museums with a large collection of ecclesiastical art, icons, ship model offerings and important objects of the island's folk culture. Admire the 18th c. wall paintings, light a candle for good luck and walk around to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this holy place.

Didn’t really read the itinerary so was not really prepared for being away for 10 hours in total !! In saying that we really enjoyed our trip, one hour and a half to visit a monastery for an hour and then on to Simmy which is beautiful three hours and 30 minutes was enough to see everything we needed to see. Beautiful picture is clean value for money was incredible book journey alone I was worth it seen some dolphins I think to look out for is when you’re so close to Turkey your phone picks up turkey Internet and you may get charged a fortune for sending messages et cetera all in all great trip worth €35 each
Amazing

Absolutely lovely place we were picked up by Manosgoing and taken into Rodes Town to go on our day trip over to Symi Island. Our first stop on the ferry was at Panormitis to see the Monastery of Archangel Michael this was wonderful so much history.. Then went onto Symi Town wow such a beautiful place and if you can do go on the Noddy Train which takes you round Symi wonderful views this take about 40 minutes.
Worth it

Great day out. Enjoyed the monastery and the town. Had a good lunch, The boat trip was enjoyable. Watch your mobile phone data as on the boat you might connect to a Turkish network!
Symi is definitely worth to see, but I suggest buy tickets directly and may be even choose another vessel. Stay overnight in Sym

Symi is gorgeous and Panormitis monastery magnificent as well. Ship was decent, but crowded. I was little bit sad that I failed to book it myself directly, or dod not check on ships at the harbour, so we decided to buy tickets from company and only after cruise we xame to conclusion that overpayed. But a school costs money. Will know next time.
Sailing seemed too long and would love more time on island.
