What To Expect

Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes
The Inner Courtyard: It is hard to believe that this magnificent courtyard once hosted the horse stables and the kitchen. Let’s travel back in time to know the Knights Hospitallers secured their residence and why the statues of Roman senators adorn the location.
The Room with the Ribbed Vault decorated with an early mosaic pavement decorated with birds, trees, and vases originated from Kos and equipped with 16th-century furniture, the room used to be the office of Cesare Maria De Vecchi. De Vecchi was the one who conceived the program of restoration of the glory of the Knights Hospitallers. This humble room became the siege of the powerful De Vecchi.
The Room with the Nine Muses: The most beautiful room of the Palace, where you can admire a 17th-century tapestry from Flandres, owes this appellation to the fresco which is decorated with the nine muses.

Street of the Knights
The bronze deer of Rhodes, located at the entrance of the old harbor, Mandraki, is one the symbols of the island and perhaps one of the most photographed spots of the island, or even of Greece.
Marine Gate :
In 1478 the GrandMaster, Pierre d’Aubusson erected this defensive gate that was the principal entrance to the medieval city. Now, the Marine Gate is one of the most impressive monuments of Rhodes.

The street of the Knights, the magnificent and austere medieval street takes you back in time when the Knights of Saint Johns were the rulers of the island.
