Mandraki Harbour

Mandraki is one of the three harbours in Rhodes. It is famous, because it is believed that the great statue of Colossus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, once stood at the harbour entrance. Today the deer sculptures at the entrance, the St. Nicholas Fortress and a number of medieval windmills create a charming view of the harbour.

Village of Lindos

Lindos is one of the most impressive archaeological sites not only in Greece but also in the world. It has traces of different civilizations. Ancient Greek, Roman, Byzantine traditions blend here with the Medieval heritage of knights of the Order of Saint John. The visit to Lindos is like time travel via centuries and civilizations! If you go there, you will be delighted not only by the history but also by divine beauty. Take your time strolling lovely narrow streets of the village abundantly decorated with flowers, fruit trees, oriental tiles and small fountains. You will be impressed by incredible view of the harbours. The Acropolis of Lindos is on top of 116m cliff. For the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Knights of St John and Turks it was a wonderful strategic position. You can walk up the stairs and visit it or explore the village and its cosy bays.

Rhodes was truly better than we expected

The tour was really great. Our guide Rula was very knowledgeable and very friendly. I wished we had spent a bit more time in Lindos. that part was really crowded but anyway better than Athens acropolis. Someone requested a high end shop for souvenirs in the old town. Rula took us there and it was wow - really impressive, the quality and price there were truly amazing, wine tasting was one of the highlights, we didn’t expect Greek wines to be so good. i'd recommend this tour if your time in Rhodes is short and u want an encompassing feel of this beautiful island.

The tour was comprehensive, including an hour orientation drive to Lindos, Diana told us much about the history and culture of Rhodes along the way, then we explored Lindos village and Acropolis, visited ceramic factory, cosy winery, and finally spent about one and half hour exploring the Old town. For food we had Greek sandwich and banana. We also had bottled water on the bus. All the admin in advance of the cruise was handled through a professional and secure online system, and we were able to pay for the tour online, meaning we only needed cash for any snacks or souvenirs and for the tips, which were totally deserved. I cannot speak highly enough of our guide, driver and sales manager Victoria who provided clear meeting instructions, answered all our questions and noted gluten free lunch inquiry for two members of our family. We would certainly recommend this company to anyone visiting Greece

Rhodes is fantastic - we booked this tour with viator and it was great from the beginning to the end - the guide Alexis was very knowledgeable and friendly - super interesting info regarding not just the sights we were seeing but the overall country, its economy, traditions, customs, etc - enjoyed the smaller group and the transportation was very comfortable and the food provided was great and wine was delicious.

We were 7 of us doing the Mediterranean cruise with Celebrity in June 2022. We took this full day shore excursion tour with TripAdvisor. I highly recommend it if you want to see the best of Rhodes and especially if you are wine lovers. Our guide Dina was amazing, very knowledgeable, friendly, she had an excellent sense of humour that’s why we had much fun and laughed all day long, laughing is even better than jogging

We recently returned from a Mediterranean cruise celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday. We were a family of 12 adults and chose to book this tour with TripAdvisor. Maria was our guide and our experience was very positive. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our requests were met, our expectations were exceeded. We got to see the highlights of Rhodes, tasted local wines, olive oil, home-made bread and honey. After the tour we had some free time in the old town and I requested our guide to assist us to the synagogue which we had shown interest in visiting, Maria took us there and told some interesting stories about Jewish quarter and its history. Overall we all loved our visit and time in Rhodes. Maria and our driver Nikos were such a pleasure to deal with, I would highly recommend them.
