Amazing day of adventure!
Katya K, 14-10-2019
Wonderful day of cycling, thanks so much! The bikes were all Specialized, great condition, we had a choice to either take an easy rout or a more difficult one, which was great! Saw the other part of Rhodes, it’s fascinating olive trees, some as old as 2000 years old! A varied rout with where our guides supplied us with a constant supply of cold water and a fantastic lunch at the top of the mountains. Really memorable experience and a caring guide, totally exhilarating and so worth it!
Great Day Riding
M1473NGwilliams, 26-09-2019
A most enjoyable day of riding in a variety of terrain to see some of Rhodes away from the crowds. We were picked up on time from the Old City and drove to the beach where the ride started. There were 8 in total on the ride with two guides. The bikes were new mountain bikes and well maintained. The guides took great care to ensure we kept together and never got too separated. The riding was not particularly arduous although there was an optional 800 metre section of climbing that the stronger riders enjoyed. There was a great variety of terrain and landmarks including ornate Greek Orthodox churches, gorges, dry rivers, villages in the hills, and lots of olive trees. There were multiple stops so it never got too hard. We stopped for lunch in the courtyard of a large church in the shade and had a filling and refreshing lunch. It was an impressive site and added to the enjoyment of the meal.

We were impressed with guides. They carefully monitored the group to see how we were doing and went at an appropriate speed. They had water stationed at numerous locations so we would have always have cold water in the hot conditions. One of our party fell riding on a paved road in the village. They were properly solicitous and took excellent care of the bit of road rash suffered. Nikos was knowledgeable about the history, geology and plant life in the region. At one point we stopped under the shade of a large tree. He spotted a number of different plants and how explained what they were and how they were used.

Overall, highly recommended if you want to see parts of Rhodes away from the beaches.

Biking Trip - Red Water
William M, 09-05-2018
We had a great experience with Dimitris and his team. We took the "Red Water" bike tour. They promptly met us at the Cruise Ship terminal and were very prompt with getting us back in time. In addition they gave us a bit of a tour of some of the major sites on the way to the starting point of the bike tour. They were very knowledgeable on the local flora (personal interest of mine) and gave us lots of fun information on all that we saw. We chose this tour to see the Rhodes countryside and were very happy with all they covered. In addition to the ride, we hiked into the canyon as well as spent some time exploring a local village and had a provided lunch in an old monastery. Can't say enough about how accommodating they were!
Mountain Biking Red Water
Andy W, 22-09-2019
I booked three tours with Rhodes Roads prior to arriving in Rhodes; the Mountain Biking, Trekking and Kayaking as I fancied doing something different than the normal tourist bits. On all three trips I was picked up promptly from the hotel, picking up other people on route. All three trips were small groups with different nationalities which made the trips a more interesting experience. The tour guide on all three trips was Nicos who was a friendly, knowledgeable guide, who was able to communicate in several languages.
The Mountain bike in Red Water was a good day out, mainly on flat rough terrain roads through a valley, along the coast with a visit to a pretty ravine towards the end. If you wanted a more adventurous trip up and down hills then this trip is probably not for you.
The Trekking day was enjoyable, getting off the beaten track with a couple of steep-ish climbs, but mainly moderate walking with plenty of stops for water and talks on the local area and vegetation. There were a couple of challenging parts, especially on the decent as the terrain was loose rock in most parts so care was needed to ensure you didn't slip.

The Kayaking day was an excellent day out along the beautiful coastline, stopping off on a rocky beach to visit a small caved area followed by a swim, then on to the beach stop for lunch and a further swim /snorkel and lunch.

All three trips were enjoyable and if you fancied doing something different from the normal tourist bits then give Dimitris a call.
